Let it snow.

For the last three to four years Christmas Eve and day have been rainy so this year no matter how much everyone may complain I am going to say LET IT SNOW! I want it clear up to my butt and still coming down, I will scape the car, I will shovel ( first I have to buy a shovel lol), but dag gonnit I want a white Christmas. This morning there is snow on the ground and I think one of the best things that I have seen in awhile was my son's face when he got out of bed today and look out the window, he could not wait to show me the snow and wanted to go out in it right then.   I quickly replied with a NO at 7 in the morning I an not going out into the frozen tundra. Truth be told I am just as excited about him to look out there and see snow on the ground there is something about it that is just truly magical.

12 days of Christmas day 2

Christmas Traditions!

button

When I was little my mom had many traditions that went along with Christmas. One of my favorite ones was actually my Aunt's. All of the family came to her house on Christmas eve and she hired a  Santa to come every year, that night as we drove home everything always seemed so magical, I think I have spent my entire adulthood trying to reach that feeling on Christmas eve. In fact my son's second Christmas when he was 18 months I was up ALL night waiting for him to get up in the morning.

My children are not very old but I do have a few traditions. Leaving the Christmas tree lights on all night on christmas eve and then playing christmas music to wake everyone up in the morning ( which was one of my mom's also.)  Another one of my mom's that is continues is getting new pj's on Christmas eve. One I am doing over the years is to make sure that the children get a new ornament every year.

I am just going to write about somethings that have been floating through my head tonight. The one thing that I have swimming around in there is what is truly means to be a friend. Fist off I would say that a friends should be closer than anyone too you. You should be able to tell them things and vice versa without worrying over harsh judgement. They should accept you for who you. I also think to a certain extent you should watch carefully as to whom you allow into your life.  Does this person hold up to my standards of what is acceptable around me or does this person do things that I would prefer not to have in my life in other words. I think that the true meaning of a friendship and I mean  I am there for you thick and thin type is Loyalty and trust which need to really take a part in every relationship we have in life. You have to always give the same as you take and be there thru the hard times as well as the good. Sometimes life can get busy and friends that we were once so close  can start to drift but I think that it is important to keep the bond strong or else you will find your life with a hole in it when the person no longer has faith in the fact that you will be there if you ever need them. If you know that there is a friend you have that is going through something let them know that you are still there, make a call that may let them know " hey, you are not alone in this". I am a lucky person in this I have very few friends who I am close to but I know they will always be there to laugh and to cry with me. Maybe there is someone out there that is in your life and alone, and maybe you should reach out to them because you never know they may become a best friend to you that you may not have had if you don't just step out and say hey how are you. I always try to remember sometimes a kind word can change a person's entire day for the better.Sometimes that rude cashier just may be having a really bad day, do you really want to add to it. Anyways my thoughts are wondering, back to the topic of friendship. I manly have three very close friends all three bringing there own unique twist to my life.   I try to be the best friends that I can be to them, because having a friend that you are close with is the same as a marriage really you have committed to being there for this person. Everyone needs someone out there in the world who they can confide in a talk with, because there is nothing worse than feeling alone. being alone is one thing but when you feel it, at least in my case it can feel like the whole world is coming in on you. Sometimes the best thing that you can do for someone is just listen, let them know you are there, don't push, and don't judge anything that they tell you. Even if what they have to say you may not agree, or you may think that they are doing wrong it is ok to just let things go and do what a true friend should settle in with a cup of coffee and listen . Anyways I am sorry to ramble just things i have been thinking about.

To my friends Amber and Tonya who have always been there, thank you so much neither one of you could ever realize the impact you have had on my life, and that you have truly made me the person i am today. Without you I would have made this journey through life alone. I met you both at a point in life when i was not expecting anyone to come into it and be there for me. You have both taught me what it is to be a friend and for that I am forever in debt to you. May God always bless you in everything you do.

    Kyle,
I have only known you a short time but we have quickly become close buds . I know things have been rough on you but just know you are not alone. I look forward to years ahead of coffee and good talks. Welcome to my world  buckle your seat but it may be a bumpy ride lol.

Randon Dozen

1. Have you ever been so lost that you were really afraid?
I am going answer this differently lol. We were at a family party the other day. My son was playing with his older cousins so I relaxed. Well, soon I started seeing the cousin but had not seen my son. I figured he was inside....wrong. I figured he found a corner and went to sleep.    Again I was wrong. I figured he went out front....wrong. I began to panic. Then we went about looking for him. The whole family was. When we had searched every where close to the house I began to become frantic. It was about 20 minutes later they found him. My knees buckled and I just sobbed and sobbed. That was the worst fear I have ever felt in my life. I would prefer never to relive that ever again.

2. Have you ever been to an island?
Yes,  There is one up on lake Erie called Put-In-Bay. I used to go there as a child.

3. Are you more of a thinker or feeler?
Oh my, I want to say thinker, and I think I am. My Emotions often get the best of me though.

4. Do you tend to see issues or situations in life as black and white or shades of gray?
I live in shade of gray. I have a very hard time deciding things because of that.

5. If you were stuck on an island, what book would you hope to have with you (Let's pretend the Bible is already there, so you can't say that.)
how to survive on a island for dummies :)

6. What are you most afraid of?
Something  happening to my children. After the story I told you in question one I have now seen real fear and somethings I was afraid of before like confrontation with people is not just such a big thing anymore. Being a mother is the worst fear you can have, there is a whole world out there I have to protect them from.  I am going to change my decision my biggest fear is the day I have to let them go out there on their own.

7. Would you rather lose all of your old memories or never be able to make new ones?
Never be able to make new ones. The past is the past, I want to see all the things the future has to hold.

8. Pretend I'm looking at a scrapbook page about you. There are three spaces for you to drop in individual pictures. What are those pictures of, and why did you select them?
Chris, Sean, and Jessie (Husband and Three Children), They are the most important thing in my life.

9. If you were re-doing your wedding, what would you do differently? (If you're single, tell me one thing you would do if you were planning a wedding OR huge party.)
I would have a big one. We did it last minute at home with only a few people.

10. Tell me one thing you know/believe about forgiveness.
Ummm. One thing I know is that we are suppose to do it but sometimes it can be hard. If you forgive though you will have more peace with yourself and others.

11. You're waiting in a doctor's office. What is your favorite way to pass that time?
Read the magazines there. They are two expensive so I don't buy them but I do like to look at them.

12. If there were a clone of you in a parallel universe what is one way you hope she/he would be the same as you and one way you hope she/he would be better?
That they would love their family and do they best they could to take care of them  and I hope they would be better at keeping things running smoothly around the house.

Changes

Well, here I am sitting here late at night thinking again about decision that I need to make. I hate days like this. I am thinking about moving from my mother in laws and getting an apartment. There are so many decisions to make and the thing that scares me the most is that I have two little ones to take care of. When I was younger I was a gypsy pretty much just sleeping on friends couch's living out of my car. I can not do this with children. They need a home and a roof over their heads. We have had a place before and everything was okay. But financially not so great. I fought so hard to stay home with my babies. Thinking that I was making their world better by being their. Although I still want to be at home with them, I was not making the best decision for them because I do not think I was proving for them very well. I have to say that I love my job. Something that sounds stupid when I am working at mcdonalds but the thing is I know that I am going to be providing for our family in a way that I could not being at home with them. There is no longer going to be such a struggle. What a difference it will be to have two more pay checks a month. I feel as though I can breath now. I thank God that I have been blessed with this job.    I am learning now how to manage this extra money with savings acounts and cds and things so that I can always have a plan b. I want to do everything that I possibly can to invest this money wisely and make the right choices for my family. Right now I may sound so stupid but I trying to learn everything about cds and stocks and iras. At this point i do not know what an ira is but I am going to figure it out. This is all so new to me but I think that it it so neat to make my money work for me. it feels almost like I have this second job and that is to figure out how to make my money make money.

Anyways back onto the moving thing I think that I am going to do my little boys room in camo stuff. He would think that was so great.I think that I am going to get a two bedroom and give each of the kids a bedroom and then Chris and I can sleep and the pull out. I am really excited to have a bed to myself. Right now I am just going to trust God to lead me in the right direction with this.  Goodnight y'all.

I love this song! This song describes my life perfectly.
