busy busy week

Today will be so busy. We are in the middle of a few spring projects so this will be the only time I will be able to sit down and write. I am making my first pair of custom flip flops today, and a hair flower to match. Be sure to watch for new projects I will be putting out next week.
But outside of my new little hobby the projects for today are:
Men are working on the outside porch which is going through a major renovation this spring. Men  and boys I should say. I am sending this ornery little one out with them to get some sunshine.

Jessie is soon to go down for a nap and then I believe I am going to move the playpen into the yard so she can also get some sunshine hopefully by that time I will be done inside and can join them.

I have massive amounts of cleaning to do today and then working in the flower beds and laundry. Ugh is there a little fairy to do all this for me.

Last but not least there is a book I need to read and review. Want to read along with me?

See ya'll tomorrow morning if I live through today :)

Easter Random.

2. Chickens are notoriously nervous creatures. When you are nervous, what is the best way to calm down? I am always nervous. That is just me.

3. People say, "April showers bring May flowers." Do you enjoy Spring rains? Not really because I like to be able to send the kids out to play. But they do help the flowers so I guess there ok.

Whew!

What a busy, busy week I have had. Last Sunday we went to the pool and I took the kids by myself . That was the first time I took them both without Chris with me, and i must say I was excited by the time it was all said and done because I had no problems at all.

Monday I believe we stayed home.

Tuesday took Sean grocery shopping with me and he was a very well behaved little man.

Wednesday we had a Saint Patrick's Day Parade. We had an absolute blast walking in the parade and so many people taking Sean's picture, even the News Paper! Then there was a party after the parade. It was the busiest day of the week, that is for sure .

Thursday, We played in the yard all because it was so nice outside. I did some weeding in the flower bed. Then we went to the pool later in the day and then grabbed a quick dinner at mcdonalds drive thru.

Friday, we played in the yard some the kids took a nap after being exhausted from the long week. ( Sean only naps once in a blue moon), and then we went to an easter egg hunt at the y and had pizza. We Came back and move some things into the attic that we are not going to need until we get our own place.

Which brings me to today, I started off today gathering up clothes to take to the consignment store and then went to walmart with my mother in law where we got some bubbles and went home to play outside for a little while. Tonight I manage to get the kids play room most of the way done, or at least enough to play in it.

Sunday, I will be taking it literally as the day of rest. Have a nice weekend folks and God Bless.

If you get time hope over to in pursuit of for a giveaway this weekend.

Happy Saint Patricks Day to All

There are only two kinds of people in the world, The Irish and those who wish they were.

It's Random Dozen Time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. On a scale of 1-10, how superstitious are you, honestly?
0, I am not superstitious at all but I know some people who are.

2. Julius Caesar is quoted as saying, "I came, I saw, I conquered." Which circumstance or experience of yours does this saying best describe?
I would have to say taking care of newborn with a 3 year old. I was really scared about that when I was prego with my second. To my suprise it was more like " Hey, I've been here before I can do this."

3. If I peeked in on your day like a mischievous little leprechaun, at what time would I most likely find you blogging?
In the morning, or if something is bugging me, very very late at night.

4. Re springing forward for Daylight Saving Time, is there anything you've ever been really early or really late for?
Not that I can recall but I am only 25 give me a few more years.

5. What are you most looking forward to concerning Spring?
Taking these crazy kids outside for some fresh air.

6. Shamrocks are the national flower of Ireland and are picked on St. Patrick's Day and worn on the lapel or shoulder. Do you wear green on St. Patty's Day?
My husbands family is Irish so I most definitely do. I have to get something this year though I don't think I have anything green.

7. One of Caesar's assassins, Casca, said, "But, for my own part, it was Greek to me," which of course means he didn't understand something. Probably his own lines in the play. Anyway, what is something that is "Greek to you," something incomprehensible or indecipherable?
Sports, my husbands loves to talk about them but most of time I have no clue what the heck he is saying.

8. Is March behaving more like a lion or a lamb where you live?
Definitely a lamb. We have had some very nice days here in Ohio.

9. "An extra yawn one morning in the springtime, an extra snooze one night in the autumn is all that we ask in return for dazzling gifts. We borrow an hour one night in April; we pay it back with golden interest five months later." -Winston Churchill. If you had one extra hour per day every day, what would you do with it?
One word.......................... Sleep!

10. Legend says that every Leprechaun has a pot of gold hidden deep in the Irish countryside. Aside from real gold or money, what material item would be in your dream pot of gold?
A new Ford Explorer, Which also answer the question about how green I am.

11. "The best things are nearest: breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of God just before you." Robert Louis Stevenson. Look around you right now and tell us about something essential or beautiful very near you that you take for granted every day.
After this LONG LONG winter I would say the sunshine. I have missed it so.

12. Just for a bit o' fun, click here (www.blogthings.com/irishnamegenerator/) and then report your Irish name. Mine is "Zoe O'Sullivan." I love it
Sneaky O'Grady ( Which is funny because that is my mother in laws maiden name.

Potty Training

Another subject you are going to find on here is going to be the potty training of my 10 month old.

We are beginning to potty train, this morning I caught it on time and she poo poo in the potty. I am so happy that we are making progress already because it took forever to potty train my son especially to poop. he was over 3 when we finally got it finished. He is still wearing pull ups at night but hey I will take what I can get. I am starting REALLY early with Jessie in hope to get the concept in there before she has two much of a mind of her own.

Plinko--The Random Doze

Information from Lid about this week:

Oh, blog life, you are so funny. Just the other week I was flapping my lips about "What am I going to do now that the RD participant number has reached 80? OHMYGOSH! I can't handle it!" Next week: Down by 20. Cracks me up.

So, are you ready to play Plinko?

Definition of plink: "Plinking refers to informal target shooting done at non-traditional targets such as tin cans, glass bottles, and balloons filled with water." Plinko is also a carnival game we play at Oneighty, but pot-luck shots fits this meme better, I think.

So here are your random plinko questions lined up in a row just like tin cans:

1. How old is the oldest pair of shoes in your closet?
About 10 years. I have a pair the I got my sophomore year in high school. I guess i don't wear out shoes very fast.

2. Did you buy Girl Scout cookies this year? If so, what variety?
No, I didn't see any but if I would have it would have been samoao's and thin mints, maybe the peanut butter ones for the kids.

3. Do you know how to ballroom dance? If not, would you like to?
I would to know, my mom had trophies for ballroom dancing. But know I have no clue.

4. Were you a responsible child/teenager?
I think that I was my mom had to work two jobs so I was home alone alot.

5. How many of this year's Oscar-nominated movies did you see?
I didn't watch the Oscars so I have no clue what movies were in them. I am not very up on anything anymore. Not really a big movie watcher either.

6. If you're going to have a medical procedure done, such as having blood drawn, is it easier for you to watch someone else having the procedure done or have it done yourself?
Either of them really nothing like that bothers me much.

7. What is your favorite day of the week and why?
Thursday. It is family day for us, I get to be with my husband all day long. We usually take the kids out somewhere.

8. Do you miss anyone right now?
My husband but he will be home within an hour or two.

9. Do hospitals make you queasy?
Not when I am there, but when I am there to see other people I know.

10. At which store would you like to max-out your credit card. Not that you ever would, you responsible person, you.
That is hard to pick.Hmmmmmm.......... About the only place I go is Wally world so it would probably be there.

11. Are you true to the brand names of products/items?
No my husband works for Kroger so I buy mostly Kroger products.

12. Which is more difficult: looking into someone’s eyes when you are telling someone how you feel, or looking into someone’s eyes when he/she is telling you how he/she feels?
I don't know why usually people who lie don't look people in the eyes but for some reason I have trouble looking anybody in the eye. If I had to pick I would say when I am telling them.

Updates on my move.

So back in October I made the decision that we would move out of our trailer that was fallinf apart and back in with my Mother in Law. It has been a ride having 8 people in one house. 2 days ago my father in law's mother who just turned 83 the day before got up in the morning and fell and broke her shoulder. She broke the opposite shoulder the year before also. It has been a long day today. From very early in the morning this is the conversation in this house:

Sean: Mom I want so marshmallow cereal

Me: ok, just a sec

Jessie: Crying

Betty : I need to use the potty

Me: Ok Betty I'll get Mike

Now running up the stairs with a crying baby still waiting and three year old waiting for cereal!

Sean: Mommy! I want cereal !

Jessie now seated in the high chair with breakfast, and betty has been changed

Betty: I need Coffee!

Sean I need more cereal!

Me: Just a sec Betty, ok Sean.

Getting sean's cereal

Betty: could someone get me some coffee?

ME: Just a sec Betty

Getting the coffee and Jessie more cereal.

Betty: I need coffee ( I ignore it this time, I am getting the coffee)

Chris coming in from work: Betty asked for Coffee

ME: I know!

Betty: I WANT COFFEE! SOMEONE BRING ME SOME COFFEE!

ME: YOUR COFFEE IS RIGHT HERE! (as I stomp out of the room to go find a pillow to scream into. Ugh what a morning.

About an hour later:

Mike: Can you got to the store>

ME: I guess

I was the dishes get JEssie down for a nap and Sean dressed and head to the store. While there they tell it is going to an hour and fifteen minutes on a perscrition. That is okay though because I want to take Sean for ice cream. We get the groceries, ice cream, gas, and the perscription and head home. I now do a load of laundry and since it is a nice day take it outside to hang up.

Betty: I need this thing off me ( towel on her neck from lunch)
I go in and do so. Come back to sit.

JEssie Crying

Betty" I need someone to get this cup and bowl
I set baby down and do so.

Baby Crying. I get the baby.

Betty: I can't get up from here ( the couch)

Me yelling for mike

Finally get my laundry to the line outside

Betty: I need the phone

Me taking the phone in .

Betty: Oh I was dreaming again I don't need that.

Me in my head: Omg old woman!

Now I am waiting for the clothes to dry and sitting for a moment while she is alsleep. Sean just woke from a nap so I better end this.

Good evening sorry for the long rant.

The Random of the Week

1. Do you prefer even or odd numbers? Any particular reason?
I really don't think that I prefer either one over the other, but if I had to pick I would say odd I guess. Most of the time I am am an odd person so I guess that will work for me.

2. On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being "not at all" and 10 being Carly Simon-worthy, how vain are you?
I used to think not at all but after to children I started looking at my body and criticizing everything so I would give myself about a 5.

3. Among these Irish stereotypes, with which do you identify most closely? Talkative, Proud, Inquisitive, Love to party, Hot-tempered
Talkative would probably be the best answer for me, I can hold up a one ended conversation for hours (just ask my husband.)

4. How lucky do you consider yourself?
I am not lucky at all that is why I don't gamble, it is pointless when lady luck is not on your side.

5. What is the subject of your favorite post that you've written?
My family. They are always my favorite in everything.

6. Describe March weather where you live in three words.
Cold, wet, cold. And it came in like a lamb, uh oh!

7. How apt are you at detecting blarney when you hear it? (Smooth talk, flattery)
Most of time you would have to be really smooth to get one by me, I am pretty good at seeing right through people. Ask my Irish husband.

8. How "green" are you, environmentally speaking?
Not at all, nuff said.

9. What is your favorite song this week?
Love like crazy by Lee Brice

10. You are walking along and see a coin on the ground. What denomination does it have to be before you will stop to pick it up?
I would pick up a penny, but I would have to notice it there first which would most likely not happen.

11. Complete the sentence: "Every time I look outside my window ...."
I see freakin snow, and wish for summer.

12. What was the #1 song on the day you were born? See this site to find out
I Just Called to Say I Love You Stevie Wonder
